Lisa Kröger is a writer who lives on the Mississippi Gulf Coast, where she enjoys a life of reading, writing, and scaring the wits out of her husband, who does't fully understand her love for all things horror. Sometimes she uses her Ph.D. in Gothic literature to teach, but mostly she  uses it to critique horror novels and write for South Mississippi Living magazine. She is a firm believer in the Oxford comma.

She is a mom to two boys, and she finds that Shirley Jackson is always a welcome distraction to the mundane tasks of daily life.
